Description

Letter from Meigs at Southwest Point to John Browder advising that Sam Graves must be restrained from drunken quarrels with white people or be "removed away" by the chiefs. He states that some white people would take advantage of Native Americans and indulge themselves in violent acts, and that additional troops may be needed. Folder 7

Description Mollie wrote her brother, W. G. Robinson, and sister, referring to her sister-in-law Emma, from Clover Mound. The family had been sick lately including herself. Mollie, whose birth name was Mary, had received a letter from Berry who was thinking about going West. She ends her letter talking about Mary, William and Emma's child, and asks them to write soon and often. On the back of Mollie's letter W. G. Robinson's mother Elizabeth wrote a letter as well. She states that she has not forgotten...
