Collection Overview Collection summary derived from "Guidebook to Manuscripts", 1969: Clark Field was a private citizen from Tulsa who gave generously of his time and money to support the excavation work at the Spiro Mound site. His collection of photographs with handwritten notes document the dig in progress. The Spiro Mound Site, in LeFlore County, was excavated by the Anthropology Department of the University of Oklahoma.
