Charles Joseph Latrobe’s fifty-three-page diary records his travels from August 24-December 1, 1832. On page seven, Latrobe sketched an image of the steamboat they were traveling on. He mentions some of the towns they passed through like Cincinnati, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; and Franklin, Missouri. Latrobe states they met Daniel Boone’s nephew in Missouri.
